The D.A.R. has lots of great biking. There are a lot of hills, rocks, roots, and a little mud. There is a little of everything. And it is all single track. I met another biker out there once (you'll meet a lot) and he said, "It is definitely different."  Just watch out for the horse....

How to get to the D.A.R. and the Long Trail
Take route 112 from route 9 in the center of Goshen. Turn into the DAR state forest which will be on your right if you're coming from route 9. Go past the main booth and keep going down the road. Take the second left after the main parking lot (first left if you are looking at the maps). Turn into the parking lot on the right and go about 100 yards to a boat launch where the trail is on your right side.  After that small trail you take a left towards the camper's beach and once you're on the beach take a right. At this point you will be on the long trail. Printing out a map will help or you can get a map at the main parking lot near the main booth and the camper beach. Maps are around the big maps near the rest rooms.

If you want to camp out, call (413)268-7098 for information
